Generations of Excellence in Catholic Education
SAINT AGNES SCHOOL BOARD of LIMITED JURISDICTION
MEET OUR MEMBERS
Carol Bourrie
September 1, 1963, Carol Ann through baptism became a child of God, sharing in the Catholic faith community at Saint John Baptist de la Salle, Berks County. In formation of Her faith rooted in devotion to our Lord, family and service, Carol first received Jesus in the Holy Eucharist in November 1971 and received the sacrament of Confirmation in October 1973 at Saint Peter Roman Catholic Church. It was the nurturing sacramental education of the IHM Sisters and a native son of Saint Agnes, then Father James Treston that influenced and impacted her lifelong loving devotion to our Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus Christ. As a member of Saint Ignatius Loyola Parish, under the guidance of the beloved Monsignor James Treston, Carol continued to serve as the former Vice President and President of Women Society, Director of the Lenten Sacrament Soup Suppers, chaired Special Events and Fundraisers such as; Bella Sera an Italian night; a Women’s Society Fashion Show and served on the Regional School Board of
Limited Jurisdiction, chairing the Children’s Angel Tree Fundraiser, while serving on the
Strategic Planning, Bylaw and the Development and Advancement committees under the
direction of Father Tom Bortz.
Carol graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in
Business Management and Marketing. In December 2020, Husband, André, and Carol moved to Chester County from Mohnton, Berks County, where she served on Penn State Health Saint Joseph Foundation Board of Directors until 2022–resigning due to relocation. Carol worked in the Hospitality Industry as a Marketing and Sales Manager, primarily focusing on the Corporate, Convention and Civic market segments. She also directed the Corporate Lodging incentive program and Director of Special Events. Carol also owned an International Marketing and Consulting Agency. Additionally, Carol chaired the Berks County American Heart Ball; as well as, served and chaired on many philanthropic fundraising event committees, non-profit organizations and political Judicial, Gubernatorial and Presidential campaign. She was elected to Vice Chair of a Berks County Political Party and serve as a State Committee Representative for the County Political Party.
Deeply rooted in Catholic Faith, Family and the passion to serve, I am grateful and honored to serve our Heavenly Father and His most precious gifts, our Children.
