Grade 7 – Sr. Danielle
Sister Danielle Therese, IHM, came to St. Agnes School in 2017 to assist in the office. Prior to St. Agnes, Sr. Danielle taught Sophomore Theology for one year at Bishop Shanahan High School, Eight years at Villa Maria Academy teaching Freshmen and Sophomore Theology, Five years in Holy Innocents Area Catholic Elementary School in Northeast Philadelphia, teaching 7th and 8th grade Religion, Math, and then two years of teaching all curriculum and Lastly, taught two years in St. Joan of Arc in the Northeast Philadelphia, 6th, 7th and 8th grade Religion, Social Studies and Music.
Sister Danielle earned a BMus in Music Education, B.A. in Elementary Education, B.A. in Theology and Minor in Liturgy at Immaculata University in 1998, completed a M.A. in Spirituality at St. Charles Seminary in 2008 and M.S. in Pastoral Counseling at Neumann University in 2014.
Sister Danielle is a native of Sewell, New Jersey. Sister entered the Sister Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary following graduation of May 1998. She has been an IHM sister for 20 happy years!
Grade 7 – Sister Stephanie Gabriel, IHM
Sister Stephanie Gabriel, IHM, began teaching at St. Agnes School in 2016 after professing her first vows with the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary on August 10, 2016 at their motherhouse in Immaculata, PA. She entered the community in September 2013 after a 10 year career in journalism and communications. Prior to entering religious life, Sister spent five years as a reporter and editor for several daily mainstream newspapers and a Catholic weekly paper. She spent four years as communications director for the East Coast province of the Redemptorist Fathers.
Sister Stephanie earned a B.A. in history and communications from Franciscan University of Steubenville in Ohio in 2003, and completed an M.A. in journalism from the University of Maryland-College Park in 2004. She completed her teacher certification in secondary education in history at Immaculata University in 2015. Sister is currently working toward a master’s in theology and ministry at Boston College.
Sister Stephanie is a native of Manassas, VA, where her parents still reside. Before coming to Pennsylvania, she lived in Annapolis, MD for several years. Her interests include photography, American history, writing and reading.
